Sea Salted Cinnamon Maple Hot Chocolate Recipe

Ingredients

  • Chocolate milk    1 litre
  • Dark chocolate pieces    50 g
  • Cocoa powder    3 tbsp
  • Cinnamon    1 tbsp
  • Maple syrup    2 tbsp
  • Mini marshmallows    8 tbsp
  • Coarse sea salt    1 tsp
     

Method

  • Heat chocolate milk in a pot over medium heat, stirring continually with a wooden spoon.
  • In a stainless steel or tempered glass bowl, add the chocolate, cocoa and cinnamon. Pour in one-third of the warm milk and whisk until it forms a smooth, silky paste. Add the remaining milk and whisk until combined.
  • Return the milk mixture to the pot and heat until desired temperature is reached, whisking constantly.
  • Pour into four mugs.
  • Top each mug with 2 tbsp marshmallows.
  • Drizzle ½ tbsp of maple syrup and sprinkle ¼ tsp sea salt on top of the marshmallows in each cup.
