Reports | The Governor General of Canada

The Operating Budget of the Office of the Secretary to the Governor General (OSGG) is approved by Parliament and the OSGG is therefore accountable to Parliament for its expenditures. These expenditures are made public through the Public Accounts process at the end of every year.

The following reports are also made public, enhancing transparency and oversight of public resources.

Annual Reports

The annual reports describe the key activities of the Office, along with the costs to deliver its programs. The reports illustrate how the Office supports governors general in fulfilling their responsibilities.

Financial Reports

The financial reports include both quarterly financial reports, which demonstrate how the OSGG spends public funds, and fees reports, which provide a summary of the financial information for all fees.

Accessibility

The Accessible Canada Act (ACA) requires federal organizations, such as the Office of the Secretary to the Governor General (OSGG), to prepare and publish accessibility plans, set up feedback processes and report openly on progress.

Sustainable Development

The Federal Sustainable Development Strategy (FSDS) presents the Government of Canada’s sustainable development goals and targets, as required by the Federal Sustainable Development Act.
