To be eligible for a position as a student guide-interpreter for summer 2023, you must be registered full-time in an undergraduate program (Bachelor’s – years 1, 2, 3 or 4) for the winter 2023 term and plan to return to full-time university studies in the fall 2023 term.
Specify the school you are attending for the winter 2023 term and your areas of study. All areas of study are accepted.

You must select Québec (Quebec). Please take note that candidates are responsible for their own travel expenses incurred to attend an interview. No relocation expenses will be reimbursed if a successful candidate moves as the result of an offer of student employment. The hired students must pay for their own accommodations and other living expenses while in the Québec area.

How are candidates selected?
Candidates are randomly selected from among those candidates who have submitted their application online by January 25, 2023, and who meet all of the preselection criteria. It is therefore possible that your application will not be forwarded to us, even if you meet all of the selection criteria.
How will I know whether my application has been referred?
You will receive an email from a hiring manager at the Office of the Secretary to the Governor General (OSGG). Upon receipt of the email, candidates will have to complete a questionnaire and return it within the stated timeframe to move forward in the process.
How will candidates be assessed?
Candidates will be assessed during a virtual or in-person group interview session, during which general knowledge, skills and personal suitability will be assessed. The ability to communicate in both official languages will also be assessed before and/or during this interview.
