An insurance man and community leader in Kirkland Lake, Ontario, he has risen in the Royal Canadian Legion from the branch level to Dominion President. He has led a pilgrimage to war graves in Holland, been a theme speaker at the World Congress of Veterans in Australia, and headed the Legion's task force on Canadian unity as well as being involved in many community activities.
