Throughout her life, she has volunteered her time, energy and leadership to many charitable and health organizations across western Canada. In particular, she was instrumental in the early expansion of the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of Canada. She co-founded and was founding President of the Calgary chapter, organized successful chapters in four major centres, and was on the executive of the national component. An active volunteer in every city in which she has lived, she consistently demonstrates enormous caring and selfless devotion to helping others in need.
