Blazon

Argent on a fess Vert between in chief a menorah and in base three tomoes Gules, three maple leaves Or;

Symbolism

The green central stripe and balance symbolize Mr. Yamanaka’s position as a Justice of the Peace in Ontario, a green sash being worn over his robe of office. The menorah represents his wife, and the three maple leaves his three daughters. The three swirling drops are the emblem of Okinawa and allude to his heritage. The red and white colours are the colours of the martial arts belt that Mr. Yamanaka possesses.

Symbolism

The crimson tiger alludes to the elite group of athletes associated since the 1970’s with the Yamanaka Budo Life Centre, Mr. Yamanaka’s school. The balance refers to his position as a Justice of the Peace in Ontario.

Symbolism

The green disc with a sprig of three yellow maple leaves alludes to the arms of Ontario and thus refers to his position as a Justice of the Peace. The three leaves allude to “Sansei,” meaning a third-generation Canadian. The Samurai helmet symbolizes his descent from Samurai warriors.
