Shirley Lois Fillmore has been volunteering with the knitting program at Hamilton Health Sciences for more than 30 years, creating items to sell in the gift store, with the proceeds being donated back to the hospital. In her community, she leads the quilting group at St. John’s United Church and gives of her time to the Macassa Lodge long-term care facility.
