More than twenty years ago, he wrote a seminal book on environmental management, which was a precursor to our federal department of the environment and related policy. He was also a co-author of Our Common Future, a report which set out a global agenda for sustainable development and which led to the 1992 Earth Summit. An international consultant and policy advisor, he is an expert on the relationship between the environment and the economy.
