    The Governor General granted Royal Assent, by written declaration, to the most recent COVID-19 legislation.

    The Governor General and Commander-in-Chief of Canada, participated in a virtual commemorative ceremony to mark the 75th anniversary of the Liberation of the Netherlands and Victory in Europe (VE) Day.

    As Commander-in-Chief, the Governor General attended the repatriation ceremony for the six Canadian Armed Forces members killed in a helicopter crash during Operation REASSURANCE.
