OTTAWA—From November 18 to December 11, 2006, join the Governor General of Canada, Her Excellency the Right Honourable Michaëlle Jean, on her first State visit to five African countries. At the request of the Prime Minister, the Governor General will represent Canada and lead a delegation of Canadians from civil society to Algeria, Mali, Ghana, South Africa and Morocco.
Discover how Canadian and African partners are working together and what Africans have to say to Canadians. You can follow the Governor General’s daily travels on the www.citizenvoices.gg.ca Web site, which will relate the highlights of the visit and allow you to experience its realities. You will also find photos, blogs by the Governor General on her most memorable encounters, as well as blogs written by delegates or Canadian on-site workers. You will be able to react to these blogs and share your impressions.
