Closing of the Women's Conference

The Governor General and Rona Ambrose, Minister for Status of Women, arrived together for the closing of the conference.

Maureen O'Neil, president of Canadian Health Services Research Foundation was the moderator of the last panel of the conference.

The Governor General expressed all her joy and her pride to see all those remarkable women in front of her.

The Governor General ended these incredible two days by sharing her impressions on what she heard.

Participants Hélène Lee-Gosselin, Marilou Mc Phedran and Ellen Gabriel delivered closing remarks on behalf of all participants who attended the conference.

The Honourable Louise Otis, lawyer and mediator, ended the session by exhorting women to "be at the table where the decisons are made".

Lawyer Fanny Wlde spoke about her story and the crucial importance of education to explain where she is tody. She inspired all the women in the room!

One of the men who spoke at the conference was Michael Kaufman, Co-founder, White Ribbon Campaign.

An incredible energy was present throughout the Governor General's Women's Conference "Together for Women's Security".
