VISIT OF THE PRINCE OF WALES AND THE DUCHESS OF CORNWALL - Official Dinner

The official dinner was held in the Ballroom at Rideau Hall, on the eve of His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales’ departure after of an 11-day visit to Canada.

A photo was taken before the beginning of the official dinner hosted by Their Excellencies at Rideau Hall in honour of Their Royal Highnesses’ visit to Canada.

“We have brought together for you and for the Duchess some of Canada’s leaders in agriculture, the food industry and our nation’s table.”

The Prime Minister delivered an address on the occasion.

“When we leave Canada, we will take with us countless fond memories of our time with you and will continue to keep Canada and Canadians in our minds – and, most importantly, in our hearts – however far away we may be.”

"To pay tribute to cuisine is to pay tribute to the environment and to respect it. Your Royal Highnesses, I know, are passionately committed to doing this and I thank you for the leadership you have shown in this regard.”

The menus created at Rideau Hall are a celebration of Canadian food and culture. Each region of Canada is reflected in every menu.

Rideau Hall Executive Chef, Louis Charest, always prepares special meals that marvel the guests.
