UPDATE -- Change of date: Letters of Credence Ceremony

The date for the ceremony below has been rescheduled from April 9 to April 16, 2026.

OTTAWA, Ontario—Her Excellency the Right Honourable Mary Simon, Governor General of Canada, will receive the credentials of four new heads of mission during a ceremony at Rideau Hall.

The following heads of mission will present their credentials to the Governor General to officially begin their diplomatic missions:

His Excellency Darm Boontham
Ambassador-designate of the Kingdom of Thailand

Her Excellency Nandy Somé / Diallo
Ambassador-designate of Burkina Faso

His Excellency Bernardo Fernandes Homem De Lucena
Ambassador-designate of the Portuguese Republic

His Excellency Lim Ki-Mo
Ambassador-designate of the Republic of Korea

Time: 1:30 p.m. 
Location: Rideau Hall Ballroom
