Governor General and Commander-in-Chief of Canada Louise Arbour to speak at the 25th Anniversary of the Aboriginal Veterans Monument

OTTAWA, Ontario—Her Excellency the Right Honourable Louise Arbour, Governor General and Commander-in-Chief of Canada, will take part in a ceremony hosted by Aboriginal Veterans Autochtones (AVA) to mark the 25th anniversary of the unveiling of the National Aboriginal Veterans Monument in Ottawa, on National Indigenous Peoples Day, June 21, 2026.

The Governor General will deliver short remarks during the event.
