As we mark the beginning of Canadian Jewish Heritage Month, I join my fellow citizens in celebrating the enduring legacy of the Jewish community across the nation.

Over the generations, Jewish families who made Canada their home have faced and overcome tremendous adversity with resilience and hope. As an integral part of the rich diversity of cultures that shape our country, Jewish Canadians play a crucial role in every sector of our society. From leadership in business and groundbreaking achievements in science and medicine to enriching our arts, culture, and legal frameworks, Jewish Canadians have made inspiring contributions to the growth and prosperity of our country.

Throughout the month of May, I encourage everyone to learn about the culture, history and achievements of the Jewish community in Canada. By sharing our stories, by learning about each other and our collective past, we can build a better future for all.
