Governor General to visit The Pepper Pod: A Retreat Centre for Women Veterans

OTTAWA, Ontario—Her Excellency the Right Honourable Mary Simon, Governor General and Commander-in-Chief of Canada, will visit The Pepper Pod: A Retreat Centre for Women Veterans to tour the facility, learn about the services they provide to veterans, and speak with women receiving support from the centre.

As commander-in-chief of Canada, the governor general plays a major role in recognizing the importance of Canada’s military at home and abroad. The Governor General offers support and encouragement to members and veterans of the Canadian Armed Forces.
