Governor General to attend International Inuit Day event and Annie Pootoogook Park Naming Ceremony

OTTAWA, Ontario — Her Excellency the Right Honourable Mary Simon, Governor General of Canada, will attend and give remarks at an event to mark International Inuit Day.

The event will also include the official renaming of a park in honour of Inuk artist Annie Pootoogook, who died tragically in Ottawa in 2016.

Time: 1 p.m.
Location: Park behind Sandy Hill Community Centre, 250 Somerset St. E., Ottawa
