“It is with much sadness that I learned of the passing of Master Corporal Timothy Wilson, who succumbed earlier today to the injuries he sustained in Afghanistan on March 2, 2006. My husband, Jean-Daniel Lafond, and I would like to express our sincere condolences to MCpl Wilson’s family. May his friends and loved ones find comfort in this difficult time knowing that he served Canada with great honour and bravery. We are immensely grateful for the commitment he and his fellow soldiers have shown to restoring peace and stability for the people of Afghanistan.”
