Barbara Der has inspired and motivated other volunteers through her many endeavours, including the Terry Fox Run, Burnaby Hospice, the Lions Club, the Rotary Club of Burnaby and Special Olympics British Columbia Burnaby. Much of her work has helped to advance the interests of disadvantaged and marginalized people in society.
