For over 35 years, Joan Corner has been a volunteer for her local church, where she previously taught Sunday school and was involved with the youth group; she now prepares lunches for senior churchgoers on a weekly basis. In 1986, she played an instrumental role in establishing the Harmer House Library, where she still serves as a volunteer.
