Mary Sweeney has been helping those with visual impairments for nearly 10 years with both the Canadian National Institute for the Blind and the Canadian Council for the Blind. Through her teaching Braille to those who have recently experienced vision loss, her advocacy, "Grad Group" and her fundraising efforts, she has given many the self-confidence and the freedom to live their lives independently.
