Leonard Corbett is a founding member of the Nanaimo Special Olympics and has supported the organization in a number of capacities. In addition to acting as a coach, scorekeeper and event coordinator, he has also served as a media liaison, fund-raiser and newsletter editor. Mr. Corbett also coordinates 28 volunteers for a weekly bowling program for athletes with disabilities. He is a board member of the Paradise Isle Senior Society and, through the Senior Social Activation Program, provides support to seniors facing mental and emotional challenges. Mr. Corbett has served his community with unflagging enthusiasm and compassion for many years.
