Governor General's Caring Canadian Award

Gilbert Desjardins, a member of the Knights of Columbus for fifty years, has been helping people in his community for even longer. Over the years he chauffeured the priest on parish visits, served on the first Squatec Chamber of Commerce, was executive director of the Squatec Hospital for twenty years, and was involved in the sports association, among other volunteer activities.
