Linda Leslie Vince, London, Ont.
Governor General's Caring Canadian Award

Linda Vince started volunteering with Community Living's preschool program. She became President and represented the organization on the London Board of Education's Special Education Advisory Committee for many years. Through many meetings, hundreds of submissions and advocacy speeches, she contributed significantly by helping the Board develop a broad range of special education programs for children with disabilities. Mrs. Vince also mediated between the Board and families to ensure that these children received educational services in response to their special needs.
