Governor General's Caring Canadian Award

Jean Coolican co-founded the Ottawa branch of Save the Children Canada more than fifty years ago and has since made a substantial contribution to the organization. She was Chair of the branch and was the driving force behind many fundraising activities. Mrs. Coolican has encouraged other local groups to support these activities and continues to be a very active member of this and other volunteer organizations.
