    John Pierce has devoted his life to demonstrating the true meaning of being "your brother's keeper". He has been involved in an amazing variety of community service organizations and causes in the Peterborough area and beyond for many years. He has been active in Meals on Wheels, the Otonabee River Conservation Authority and his church. Mr. Pierce also organized local service clubs to collect thousands of dollars and a truck full of clothing and food supplies for the victims of the Quebec flood of 1996.
