Mary Irene Stefura has served the Sudbury community for over 55 years. She is the founder of the Ukrainian Professional and Business Club and served as its first president. She is also the founder of the Ukrainian Seniors'Centre and the annual Sudbury Garlic Festival. Known particularly for her work in promoting cross-cultural understanding within the community, she served several terms as a Director of the multicultural Folk Arts Council.
