John Macfarlane has had a storied career in journalism over the past 50 years. He has held the position of editor-in-chief at a number of prominent Canadian magazines, including Weekend Magazine, Toronto Life and The Walrus. He has shepherded hundreds of award-winning articles to print and has nurtured the talents of emerging writers, editors, photographers and designers. He has also been actively involved in the community through his work on the boards of several literary, arts and community organizations.
