He embodies the great quality of dedication to service. He has expressed this quality in the political sphere as a Member of the National Assembly, as a Quebec Minister of Health, Family and Welfare, and as a businessman strongly committed to his community. He is recognized in his own region as an extremely active volunteer in organizations associated with hospitals and business, and even more for his major contribution to the development of arts and culture. He has, for example, served as founding president of the Fondation de l'Opéra de Québec and has promoted the blossoming careers of young singers by establishing the Prix Raoul-Jobin.
