Kildare Dobbs has long been a leading figure in Canadian publishing and journalism. While a senior editor at Macmillan Canada, he became an early contributor to the CBC's programs Anthology and Ideas and co-founded theTamarack Review, a literary magazine supporting the efforts of aspiring writers. He then turned his attention to print journalism, writing for Star Weekly, the Toronto Star and Saturday Night, where he also served as managing editor. His ongoing literary output spans more than 50 years, from his Governor General's Award winning memoir to poetry, short stories and travel writing.
