Marc Favreau is one of our greatest ambassadors of French language and humour. For 50 years, this writer, stage actor and television performer has made us laugh, touched our hearts and filled us with wonder. We know him best as Sol, the brilliant, inimitable character who plays so delightfully with language. His monologues, teeming with wordplay, are humorous but also imbued with deeper meaning and a sense of social justice. This lover of the language of Molière has won over the French-speaking world, winning numerous awards for his work and his contribution to the development of the French language. Mr. Favreau is involved with his community; notably, he acts as spokesperson for a campaign to help the homeless.
