From the beginning of his career, he has worked to improve community health services, not only as a physician and surgeon, but also by playing a key role in the founding of St. Joseph's Hospital in Dalhousie. Starting in the 1960s, he has served with several CARE-MEDICO International humanitarian missions in various African and Asian countries. By sharing his surgical expertise and teaching physicians in these parts of the world, he has shown great dedication to those less fortunate.
