A passionate artist, she has been a pioneer of modern dance throughout her acclaimed career. She founded the École de danse moderne de Montréal and the Groupe de la Place Royale, and has greatly influenced this art form. Also interested in music, the visual arts and poetry, she has often used her many creations to illustrate the interrelationship between the various forms of expression. As an artistic director and choreographer, she has nurtured talented youth, and given them wonderful opportunities to become known at home and beyond our borders.
