As a teacher, writer and historian, he has raised our awareness of the remarkable contribution of the Acadian people to our country's heritage. He has dedicated himself to the chronicling and preservation of this historical period. Recognized in the region for his expertise, research and literary works, his talents have been sought by a number of historical societies in Nova Scotia. Although officially retired, he continues to passionately explore his Acadian roots.
