Throughout a forty-year career, he has worked to improve access to adult education courses and community college programs. In addition to his long service as President of Douglas College, he played a role in the establishment of new community college campuses in British Columbia. On the national stage, he helped to foster the growth of the college system during his term as Chair of the Association of Canadian Community Colleges. Today, he serves as a respected advisor in matters involving continuing education and vocational and technical training.
