An outstanding volunteer who has worked among the sick and the disadvantaged, she has also given unstintingly to organizations such as the Canadian Cancer Society, the Arthritis Society and the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada. In addition, she has organized fund-raising drives for developing countries. Her charitable work has helped make other Canadians aware of the needs of their fellow human beings.
