An important job creator, this Abitibi businessman is steadfast in his devotion to furthering the interests of his region. His unfailing courage and determination have enabled him to overcome obstacles that would have left many others discouraged. The cross-country skiing expedition which he led to the North Pole is a prime example of his indomitable spirit. His many pursuits have not stopped him from devoting time to the problems of others, as evidenced by his ten-year association with the Fondation Jean Lapointe and the Kidney Foundation of Canada.
