For almost four decades, this Newfoundland nurse provided health care services to the Fogo Island Cottage Hospital and the people in eleven surrounding communities. She often opened her own home as a clinic for patients or was available to respond to emergencies whenever she was needed. Her unflagging dedication to her profession and to her fellow citizens was evident throughout her career.
