Martha Crago is a champion of scientific research and innovation. An expert on language acquisition, she is also highly regarded for her work as a university administrator. Adept at building partnerships between academia, government and industry, she has increased support and funding for large-scale national initiatives. Notably, while presiding over DalhousieÆs research agenda, she successfully positioned the university as a leader in ocean science. Now vice-principal at McGill University, she remains actively engaged on national committees devoted to expanding CanadaÆs research capacity.
