An organist, musicologist, conductor and educator, he is an eminent figure on the national and international music scene. Former organ scholar at King's College, Cambridge and former Dean of the Faculty of Music at the University of Western Ontario, he is considered an expert in the study of seventeenth and eighteenth-century music and is known as a generous teacher and promoter of young musicians.
