Mark Starowicz has repeatedly demonstrated and shared his pride in our country. In the course of a distinguished career with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, he created the radio program Sunday Morning and greatly influenced As It Happens. In 1982, he launched The Journal, the only nightly prime-time television current affairs program in North America at that time. As well, he built the television documentary unit, which has won major international prizes. He also produces his own work, including Canada: A People's History, which was seen in both official languages by millions of viewers. In addition, he publishes and lectures internationally on the topics of broadcasting and public policy.
