Maynard Ferguson has entertained and inspired for more than half a century. This jazz legend has had a multi-faceted career as a big band leader, arranger, producer, teacher and brass player. His technique and style on the trumpet, especially his virtuosity in the upper end of the register, are widely emulated. A veteran of some 100 albums, he has been featured on numerous film soundtracks and obtained mainstream popularity with the recording of "Gonna Fly Now" from Rocky. Compassionate and concerned, he is a mentor to many and espouses the importance of music in education. Still touring, he continues to pack houses around the globe.
