An influential, international award-winning potter she, with her deceased husband, broke new ground in designs and glazes. She is also active in the cultural and social life of Fredericton, serving on many committees and unstinting in volunteering her time to worthy causes such as the Society for the Preservation of New Brunswick's Covered Bridges, the Beaverbrook Art Gallery, the Conservation council of New Brunswick and the Critical Natural Areas of New Brunswick Project.
