Held in high esteem for his judgement, compassion and integrity, he has applied his extensive experience as a lawyer and business executive to a wide variety of voluntary endeavours. He is a model of voluntarism, active in his Church and involved with many philanthropic, educational, cultural and health care organizations, most notably Toronto's Hospital for Sick Children.
