Milly Redmond began working nearly thirty years ago with the organized Indian movement in Toronto, helping found and serving in the Indian, now the Native Canadian, Centre. She has since founded a housing corporation for Native people, a residence for girls and an ecumenical Christian welfare service which is in the front line of the fight against alcoholism and destitution.
