She is an inspiring leader and conciliator whose contributions speak to her dedication and determination. Elizabeth Davis is the former executive director of St. Clare's Mercy Hospital and former chief executive officer of the Health Care Corporation of St. John's, where she deftly and compassionately led the amalgamation of six institutions into one. She shared her skills and emphasized values and ethics as a lecturer at Dalhousie University and Memorial University of Newfoundland. In addition, she has a long history as a committed and active volunteer.
