Rebecca Cook is an internationally renowned legal scholar on women’s rights, and sexual and reproductive health law. Professor emerita at the University of Toronto, she founded its pioneering International Reproductive and Sexual Health Law Program, which generates research and scholarship to advance women’s rights related to their health and well-being. She has partnered with many organizations to co-author legal briefs that have vindicated women’s rights in national and international courts. Her passion, mentorship and commitment to her students have shaped a generation of human rights advocates in Canada and beyond.
