Judy Illes is a pioneer in exploring the ethical dimensions of research on the brain. A professor and Canada Research Chair at the University of British Columbia, she has conducted thought-provoking research at the vanguard of neuroethics. Known for identifying and tackling emerging issues, she has offered counsel on such subjects as stem cell use, incidental findings in neuroimaging, and the commercialization of neuroscience.
