Anne Martin-Matthews is shedding a critical light on the complexities of aging. A professor of sociology at the University of British Columbia and former scientific director of the national Institute of Aging of the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, she has pushed gerontology to the forefront of scientific research in Canada.
