In 1995, after her 11-year-old daughter was tragically killed in an accident, Diane Craig agreed to donate her daughter’s organs and tissue, from which six transplants resulted. The precious legacy inspired Ms. Craig to initiate Sandrine’s Gift of Life, a community project that grew into a national organ donation awareness campaign. Working in collaboration with many national associations, Ms. Craig delivers a powerful message about the pressing need for organ and tissue donation in order to improve Canada’s donor rate. Through her selfless dedication, she has transformed a personal tragedy into a worthwhile cause, offering new hope to the thousands of Canadians waiting for transplants.
